In April 2022, REKS has been officially certified with European Certification of Plastics Recyclers – EuCertPlast, one of the most renowned global standards for plastic recyclers. The achievement of this certification continues to prove the total commitment of our company to traceability and quality of our products, and strict adherence to the highest European environmental standards in our industry.
The objective of EuCertPlast is to encourage environmentally friendly plastics recycling process by standardizing it. The scheme focuses on traceability of plastic materials, throughout the entire recycling process and supply chain, and on the quality of recycled content in the end-product. REKS certification with Eucertplast will serve our clients and brand owners as a guarantee that the recycled raw material is a result of upcycling mixed post-consumer waste through a process that respects our people and our planet.
Since 2019 REKS has ensured pre-emptively that its processes, such as sorting/separating, washing, extrusion and water treatment, are done according to the highest European standards, processing only feedstock classified as post-consumer.
The recycling process and associated management systems for the waste plastic and site have been audited by accredited auditors from Kiwa Nederland B.V. on December 21, 2021 in Kosovo.
Next to EuCertPlast, REKS has also already been certified for ISO 9001 (Quality Management System) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System), a further testament to out dedication to product quality and environmental protection.
